:Unwritten:

It is popular belief by most people that their destiny is predetermined...
But what if that mythical 'Book of Life' was opened and look, all blank pages.  Living involves tearing up one rough draft after another, so, if you reflect back what would your story portray... ...is it even worth reading?

Most people can be defined by there networking pages, that's why employers are utilizing .com sites, and if you were to do a quick run through, what character traits are displayed?  One act that is commonly shown should be classified as 'Cyber.phrenia' at first glance all seems pleasant, then it ventures into shameless postings of sexual escapades, belittling and/or arguing back and forth -- even in some cases threatening bodily harm -- and come Sunday they're praising Jesus... Evidence that you're young only once, but you can stay immature indefinitely.

What of the character portraying a leading role as the 'Unscrupulous Mother' putting more enthusiasm into pursuing random men and bags of 'kush' rather than spending much needed quality time with her children, displaying an exuberant zeal for being 'hood' - as if having street credibility is an adequate reputation... a child needs a role model, not a O.G.  My heart goes out to those diligent parents striving each day to provide, nurture and care for their children trying to instill moral values to ensure they maintain productive mannerisms and quality goals - because they have to grow up with a generation of contented bodies and discontented minds - they're mostly all signposts and no destination.

Most men pursue pleasure with such breathless haste that they hurry past it failing to realize, when diving to the bottom of pleasure its most likely you'll bring up more gravel than pearls. A 'Womanizer' is a common character trait, useing charm, charisma, the manipulation of words and empty promises in order to maintain a high level of 'conquests', continuously adding names to his Hall of Fame while irresponsibly procreating without a single form of equity (bank account, home/apartment, legitimate income... S-T-A-B-I-L-I-T-Y), usually a new position of responsibility will show a man to be a far stronger creature than was supposed... but, history has shown us that it is much easier to become a father than to actually BE one.  We have a Bill of Rights, what we need is a Bill of Responsibilities!

Suppose the world were only one of God's jokes, would you work any less to make it a good joke instead of a bad one?  Life is what we make it, always has been, always will be... maybe all one can do is hope to end up with the right regrets...  The purpose of life is a life of purpose; a life without cause is a life without effect.  We should give meaning to life, not wait for life to give us meaning
...so, what will your legacy be?

When I stand before God at the end of my life, I would hope that I would not have a single bit of talent left, and could say, "I used everything you gave me."

  1. Your thoughts here are great. I agree with everything you said! What you said in the end, making your life worth it, I totally agree. Live to the fullest! Take risks! Make your story worth reading! I wrote a poem called The Ocean of Empty Souls that reflects that idea.
